| Date of Birth | 18th October 1056 |
| Date of Death | 2nd August 1100 |
King William II (Rufus) was often known as William the Red due to his odd red colour and hair/complexion. William II is William I son and inherited England while his brother inherited France. William II died under suspicious circumstances.
William II death was very strange. He died while out hunting in the New Forest. He was found with an arrow in his back, but no on knows whether this was a deliberate attack or an accident. King Rufus was very unpopular though, so it could be likely that he was, infact, murdered. There is a stone in the New Forest where Rufus fell, this is known as The Rufus Stone.
